Your weekly plan

When a coach assigns a training plan to you, it shows up automatically in the app. You don’t need to configure anything — open the app, see what’s scheduled today, and train.

The Today tab

The Today tab is your daily view. If your coach has scheduled a workout for today, it appears here as a card with the workout name, estimated duration, and a list of exercises. Tap Start session to begin logging.

If nothing is scheduled for today, the tab shows your streak, recent activity, and a prompt to log an ad-hoc session if you want to train anyway.

Missed a session?Missed workouts stay visible on the Today tab until you log them or your coach expires the assignment. They’re marked as overdue but you can still start them. Your coach can see which sessions were completed on time.

Weekly schedule

Swipe or scroll the calendar strip at the top of the Today tab to look ahead or back. Each day shows a small dot if there’s a workout scheduled. Tap any day to see what’s planned.

The full calendar view (tap the calendar icon) shows a month-level overview. Completed sessions appear with a green check; upcoming ones with the workout name. This is useful for planning around travel or life schedule changes.

Rest days

Rest days are just empty days on the plan — your coach didn’t schedule a workout, so nothing shows up. The app won’t nag you to train on rest days. Treat them as rest.

If you feel good on a rest day and want to move anyway, you can log an ad-hoc session or a light activity without disrupting your assigned plan.

Viewing plan details

Tap the plan name at the top of the Today tab to open the full plan overview. You’ll see all weeks laid out, every workout in order, and the plan duration. This is useful for previewing upcoming weeks so you can mentally prepare for heavier blocks.

You can’t edit the plan content directly — that’s the coach’s job. If something doesn’t fit your schedule or needs adjusting, message your coach from the thread.

Training without an assigned plan

If you don’t have a coach or your coach hasn’t assigned a plan yet, the Today tab shows a prompt to log a session. Tap it and choose from your saved workouts, or start an empty session and add exercises as you go.

You can also build your own training plan from scratch in the Teshape library and self-assign it. Go to Library → Training plans → New plan, build it out, and tap Start this plan. It will show up on your Today tab just like a coach-assigned plan.
